About Sri Lanka
Just over an hour’s flight from Chennai, Sri Lanka packs hill country, ancient cities, safaris and beaches into an island you can tour by car in a week.
Indian travellers love the familiar food and the Ramayana trail — Sita Eliya, Ashok Vatika and other sites — alongside Kandy’s Temple of the Tooth and the scenic train to Ella.

Questions travellers ask
Can we do a Ramayana trail?+
Yes. We can include Seetha Amman Temple, Hakgala Gardens, Divurumpola and Ravana Falls with a guide who knows the stories.
Is the train ride to Ella easy to book?+
Reserved seats sell out quickly in season. We book them when you confirm, or arrange a car if seats are not available.
Is Sri Lanka good for a short break?+
Yes. Four nights covering Kandy and Bentota works well because the flight from Chennai is so short.
