About Bali
Bali is India’s favourite honeymoon island for good reason: private pool villas at sensible prices, Hindu temples on sea cliffs, green rice terraces and a beach scene for every taste.
Most trips split time between Ubud in the hills — culture, waterfalls and the Monkey Forest — and a beach base in Seminyak, Kuta or Uluwatu, with a day trip to the dramatic cliffs of Nusa Penida.

Travel information
- Getting there
- IndiGo flies direct Chennai–Denpasar (about 6 hours). Other routes connect via Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.
- Visa
- Indian passport holders get an e-visa on arrival (applied online) or visa on arrival for 30 days, fee IDR 500,000, plus Bali’s tourist levy. Rules change often. We confirm the latest requirement when you book and help with the paperwork.
- Money
- Indonesian rupiah (IDR). Cards are fine in hotels; carry cash for temples and small cafés.
- Good to know
- Traffic between areas is slow, so we limit hotel changes. A sarong is needed at temples and is usually provided.
Questions travellers ask
How many hotels should we stay in?+
Two is ideal: Ubud for 2–3 nights and one beach area for 3 nights. More changes waste time in traffic.
Is Nusa Penida worth it?+
Yes for views, but the roads are rough and boats can be choppy. We plan it on a calm-sea day.
Is Bali good for families?+
Yes. Nusa Dua and Sanur have calm beaches, and there are water parks, safari parks and easy temple visits.
